Aramis Refuses To Play With Old G, Forces Forfeit Against Nigma Galaxy
Adam "Aramis" Moroz, Old G's registered Position Four player, has been quite a troublesome individual for the stack. Aramis played two best of 3 matches with Old G, the first series being a win against Into The Breach and the following being a loss against Ex-Monaspa.
After playing the two matches, Aramis decided he will no longer continue playing with the team. The reason remains unclear.
Old G played their matches against IVY and Alliance with Vladimir "RodjER" Nikogosian as a stand-in, and the team could win both matches to sit at a comfortable 3-1 score.
However, due to PGL's ruling, a team can only use a stand-in for up to four matches. Since Aramis has only played two matches, if Old G were to play with RodjER for the remainder of the matches, they would break the rule and be disqualified.
In Old G's most recent match against Nigma Galaxy, Aramis was present throughout the drafting stage of the first game. However, after the heroes were picked and the players loaded in, the Israeli player disconnected from the game.
After a short pause, Old G decided to play the game four versus five and unsurprisingly lost within 20 minutes. The team decided to forfeit Game 2, giving Nigma Galaxy a free win.
The future of Old G's Summer DPC Tour run remains hazy. Will they be able to field in RodjER for their last two matches against LEVEL UP and Ancient Tribe?
Many fans rightfully mentioned that this was unprofessional behavior from Aramis, but other fans wanted an explanation from the player himself before jumping to conclusions. This behavior can entirely end the 22-year-old player's career, so there might have been a reason for his refusal to play. Comment below your thoughts on the situation!
yhahaha toxic guy
Whatever his explanation is, it won't deny the fact that it was an act of unprofessionalism, unsportsmanship and incompetence.
