Average online in Dota 2 dropped by 40,000 in January
According to the analyst portal Steam Charts, the online in Dota 2 showed a significant outflow of users in January 2023. This applies to the average online and its peak values for the month.
In January, the average online in the game was 428,296 users. That is 40,000 less than in December last year. It is worth noting that this is the lowest figure since September 2021, when the game had 391,082 users. The online peak in January stood at 764,490. This is down 8.3% from December.
Such a sharp decline may be due to the end of the Battle Pass and the Diretide event. Recall that it was held from September 1 to January 12. During this time, 6,704,558 users participated in it.
