B8 has lost the DPC slot
Yesterday ??Danil "Dendi" Ishutin resigned from B8 on the team registration site, but this is not due to the departure of the Esportsman from the organization. The reason is the DPC slot of the team.
Explanation from the B8 team:
In DPC system the owner of the slot is the one who registered it. The slot under which we played for the last 6 months is registered by someone who didn't want to negotiate. Yes, this situation seems weird.
We don't want to argue nor waste time on it now. Our main focus is Dota2 roster.
This situation makes our young organisation stronger, because we learn on such mistakes. It may sound weird, but we are sure it will effect us in a better way, at least we are smarter now.
DPC is ahead, so we should prepare the team, start practices and enter the tournament.
Highly motivated and greatful for your support
As a reminder, after the first DPC season in 2021, B8 was out of the lower division and lost their slot. Instead of competing at qualifiers, the team merged with the XactJlepbI mix that had a slot in the league. Then, the team was renamed B8 and continued to participate. However, the rights to the team were still held by the manager of XactJlepbI. It was he who excluded all the players and left only ??Aleksandr "Nofear" Churochkin.
Aleksandr "Nofear" Churochkin gave a comment on the matter:
This is the slot of team XactJlepbI. It got into the B8 team together with our manager and me. Neither he nor I are part of B8 anymore. It is fair to say that for 6 months, there were 3 other players in that slot — [T]SA, DrWatson, and Limitless. But they were benched too and couldn't use this slot under the B8 tag. So I don't see any unfairness in not keeping the slot for B8. And the people mentioned before will decide together how to dispose of the slot properly.
In the 3 months [since I left], Dendi has never written to me about the slot. The only time I found out that B8 wanted a slot was 12 days ago after some players had left. And that [finding out] from other people, not from B8.
Currently, there is only 1 player in the B8 — ??Danil "Dendi" Ishutin. The names of the others will be announced later. If the DPC format for the 2021/2022 season remains unchanged, the team will have to qualify for the league through qualifiers.
