BetBoom Survive Keyd Stars And Talon To Reach The Climate Pledge Arena
The BetBoom Team had a long day of Dota 2, as they had to play two Best of 3s on the same day. Fortunately, the hard work and sweat paid off, as the Eastern European “super team” could secure top eight to play at the Climate Pledge Arena next week.
The first series against Keyd Stars wasn’t too tricky, as the BetBoom Team could easily secure the 2-0 victory, as expected. Both games were stomps, as the BB Team barely broke a sweat.
However, their next series was against a notable team, Talon Esports. The series between the two teams turned out to be the longest series at The International so far. Still, the BetBoom Team could fight through their exhaustion to win the series 2-1.
The first game was back-and-forth, making the game reach the late stages of the game. The BetBoom Team had decent control over the game until Talon got a great jump on Nightfall’s Sven in the bottom portal. After 69 hard-fought minutes, Talon could win the first map with their late-game lineup.
Again, the second game went late, as Talon had a clear lead with 23savage’s unkillable Dark Willow. However, some mistakes from the Talon side were quickly punished by the BetBoom Team, and the Eastern European squad could come back from a 25,000 gold deficit.
In the third game, Nightfall got a free Phantom Lancer game. The game was dragged out for a long time, as both teams felt pressured to avoid making mistakes in this elimination game. Still, some great initiations from Pure’s Spirit Breaker and gpk’s Storm Spirit could help BetBoom survive the series and win 2-1.
The run for Talon Esports and Southeast Asia ends here while the BetBoom Team continues. They will face the winner of the match between Entity and Virtus.Pro, but the match will be played in five days.
