BetBoom Team Eliminate Team Spirit To Secure Top 3 At Dacha
The two Eastern European giants were tasked to face each other in a Lower Bracket elimination match. Historically, Team Spirit had always defeated the BetBoom Team, with a 4-0 record in the last season in Best of 3 matches. However, with both teams making significant roster changes, the BetBoom Team struck first blood.
In the first map, the BetBoom Team won the laning stage, and Pure’s Alchemist was off to a flying start. However, King’s Medusa was matching the pace to keep the game afloat. Still, the BetBoom Team used their snowballing lineup to take objectives.
Team Spirit did a great job protecting the Medusa in fights, but the BetBoom Team understood that and always picked off the Spirit supporting cast at the start of the fights. Though Team Spirit had decent fights to make the game interesting, Pure’s 13/3/15 Alchemist was just too much for them to handle.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get an interesting third game. The BetBoom Team won the laning stage and quickly took control of the game. Team Spirit could not get anything going at all, losing the map in 37 minutes with a kill score of 3 - 29.
Overall, Team Spirit’s debut tournament with two former academy players and Malik wasn't too terrible, as they exited the tournament in 4th place. Meanwhile, the hosts of the tournament will move on to play Tundra Esports in the Lower Bracket Final, with the winner taking on Team Falcons for gold.
