BetBoom Wait For PSG.LGD Or Gaimin Gladiators In The DreamLeague Finals
The first day of the DreamLeague Season 20 playoffs has come to an end. The day started with Gaimin Gladiators eliminating Talon from the tournament and the second series of the day featured BetBoom obliterating PSG.LGD to make the first big Grand Final for the young squad.
Gaimin Gladiators 2-1 Talon Esports
With Talon failing to make it to the Major, they had to make DreamLeague Season 20 count.
In Game 1, Talon had an incredibly greedy lineup, with Naga Siren and Anti-Mage on the same team. Their early greed was punished, as the Gladiators were able to take an early lead. However, Gaimin Gladiators couldn’t close out the game with their lead, and the game eventually went late enough for Talon to take it with their superior late game lineup.
In the second game, Gaimin Gladiators once again came out of the laning phase on top, and took firm control over the entire game. It took them some time, but the Gladiators were able to end the game after an amazing performance from Quinn’s “Quinn of Pain,” finishing the game 8/0/12.
Sadly, Talon had to go out of the tournament without putting much of a fight in the deciding game of the series. Game 3 was an absolute stomp for Gaimin Gladiators, and Talon were only able to get 5 kills before calling GG at the 32-minute mark. Talon’s deep run in DreamLeague Season 20 comes to an end, and Gaimin Gladiators secure Top 3.
PSG.LGD 0-2 BetBoom Team
The top two teams coming out of the grueling Group Stage are PSG.LGD and BetBoom. The two titans clashed in the Upper Bracket Final, with the winner of the series advancing to the Grand Final.
Unfortunately, Game 1 of this highly anticipated matchup wasn’t competitive in the slightest, as the Eastern European team built up a 5,000 net worth lead 10 minutes into the game. All three lanes were lost for the side of PSG.LGD, and they couldn’t get anything done in the game, forcing a 25-minute GG.
Game 2 was a repeat of the first game, as this time, BetBoom collected a 9,000 gold lead at the 13-minute mark. The game once again looked completely hopeless for PSG.LGD, and after only managing two hero kills, the Chinese team had to tap out early for the second time this series.
