Chinese teams couldn't get visas to Sweden
All Chinese teams that stayed in Kyiv after WePlay AniMajor failed to get visas to Sweden to participate in The International 10. Now they will have to go back to China to get their visas.
Earlier this week, it was reported that PSG.LGD, Team Aster, Invictus Gaming и Vici Gaming were unable to return to China due to new restrictions measures in the country related to coronavirus. Their original plan was to go to Sweden directly from Kyiv to attend The International. Valve and WePlay helped the team with this issue.
As it became known today, it was impossible to obtain such visas from Kyiv. This was told by the representatives of Vici Gaming. Now all teams must return to Beijing for the visas. The situation is complicated because, upon arrival in China, all team members have to spend 3-weeks on a quarantine, which complicates the preparation for the main tournament of the year.
PSG.LGD, Team Aster, Invictus Gaming и Vici Gaming received direct invites to The International 10 after the DPC season. The tournament will take place August 5-15 in Stockholm, Sweden. The total prize pool for the event is $40,018,195.
