DLTV BEST PLAYER AWARDS OF 2023, POSITION 1: FOURTH PLACE
Usually, we'd rely on individual statistics and performance when ranking players on our top list, then team play and achievements second. It would be a crime not to place dyrachyo on the list, so we have put him at fourth place.
Though he is far from outperforming his counterparts in all statistics and has often become the hero of funny clips, dyrachyo plays a different playstyle. Whether you like it or not, he was a significant factor in the success of the Gaimin Gladiators last year:
- 1st place at The Lima Major 2023
- 1st place at DreamLeague S19
- 1st place at Berlin Major 2023
- 1st place at DreamLeague S20
- 1st place at The Bali Major 2023
- 4th place at Riyadh Masters 2023
- 1st place on BetBoom Dacha
- 8th place at DreamLeague S21
- 2nd place at The International 12
- 2nd place at ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023
Generating highlight reels and breaking records is cool, but Dota is primarily a team game, and dyrachyo's impact in a game is often left unnoticed by a regular fan. He is the ultimate team player, always ready to sacrifice himself for the team if the situation arises.
Many fans aren't too pleased with dyrachyo's performance, but his teammates are, and that's all that matters. The team members feel very comfortable playing with each other, as seen in the team's YouTube vlogs. Quinn also commented on dyrachyo "feeding":
"Everyone feeds from time to time - that's how the game works. I just died [at the end of the second map against Talon] like a fool: I dove under the Tier 4 tower, missed the Cheese, and also wasted all my remnants. It happens. People make mistakes - it's part of the game.
I think Anton is a pretty aggressive player who constantly puts pressure on his opponent and plays on the edge, and that's why he dies at times. This is fine. Such aggression is better than total passivity."
Dyrachyo's favorite heroes in 2023 included:
- Terrorblade (42 Maps, 66% Win Rate)
- Morphling (28 Maps, 54% Win Rate)
- Bloodseeker (19 Maps, 53% Win Rate)
Judging by the statistics, his best tournament was The International 12, where the Gladiators took second place. By the end of the season, the team agreed on a playing style, with Quinn finding crazy form and dyrachyo beginning to feel himself and the game better, resulting in improvements on several statistical indicators relative to other Carry players:
- Top 5 Average Kills Per Game: 6.41
- Top 5 (Least) Average Deaths Per Game: 4.22
- Top 7 Average Damage Per Game: 26,626
Let's see if dyrachyo can show even more improvement in 2024!
