DLTV Best Player Awards Of 2023, Position 5: Fourth Place
The second player in our list of the best position five players in 2023 is Oli, a former Talon Esports player who moved to Team Aurora.
Oli had a relatively good year with Talon. Together, they achieved the following results:
- 3rd place at The Lima Major 2023
- 12th place at DreamLeague S19
- 7th place at Berlin Major 2023
- 4th place at DreamLeague S20
- 3rd place at Riyadh Masters 2023
- 11th place np DreamLeague S21
- 10th place at The International 12
After The International, the squad did not renew their contracts with Talon, and four members, including Oli, migrated to Team Aurora. The team only made one player change, which was Mikoto for Armel.
Regarding Oli's individual play, he performed at the highest level, which can be backed with statistics relative to other position five players. Oli excelled in these categories:
- Top 2 Average KDA: 3.38
- Top 2 Average Assists Per Game: 15.52
- Top 2 Average Healing Per Game: 3478
The Malaysian’s best tournament in 2023 was Riyadh Masters 2023, where the team placed third. In Riyadh, Oli only lost to TORONTOTOKYO in most statistics, such as KDA, Assists, Kill Participation, and Average Deaths Per Game.
Oli displayed his exceptional skill with his three best heroes:
- Silencer (33 Maps, 58% Win Rate)
- Elder Titan (27 Maps, 70% Win Rate)
- Pugna (17 Maps, 71% Win Rate)
Unfortunately, the Southeast Asian squad missed out on significant events such as the Bali Major and ESL One Kuala Lumpur, which affected Oli's spot in our rankings.
Overall, Oli helped Talon achieve satisfactory results this year. We are excited to see how he can carry Southeast Asian Dota from the fifth position next year! The next player will be announced tomorrow.
