Dota 2 Champions League Season 6 announced
Tournament organiser Epic Esports Events has announced the 6th season of Dota 2 Champions League. The tournament will run from December 6 to January 11 with a prize pool of $50,000. Its group stage features 10 teams: 7 of them we know, 1 more will become known later, and the organiser will draw the remaining 2 slots at the qualifiers scheduled for December 4.
Group stage participants:
- Brame;
- Nemiga Gaming;
- Hydra;
- V-Gaming;
- CIS Rejects;
- Team Empire;
- Fantastic Five;
- TBD;
- TBD;
- TBD.
In addition to the group stage participants, the organiser introduced the 2 teams that will start directly from the playoff stage: HellRaisers and Entity. The organiser also mentioned that they would announce 2 more teams that will join directly to the playoff stage during the tournament.
The group stage of Dota 2 Champions League Season 5 will be played in a Round Robin system with BO3 matches and the playoffs in a Double Elimination system. The order of advancement from the group stage is unknown yet.
