DPC: China Upper Division goes on break
DPC: China Upper Division matches go into the break due to the Chinese New Year. Competitions in the Regional League resume on January 31. In the meantime, let's take a look at the intermediate standings.
Team Aster, the league's leader, went into the break in good spirits. It has already guaranteed itself a slot in The Lima Major 2023. In the remaining matches, it won't play for a slot but for DPC points.
PSG.LGD and Knight, following Team Aster, go into the break with a 4-1 statistic. Each of them is just one win away from a slot in the major. Recall that Knight was accused of using cheats during the season, but Valve hasn't applied any sanctions against it yet.
Aster.Aries and Dawn Gaming are at the bottom of the table. Both teams have lost all 5 starting matches. Only one defeat separates them from leaving the Upper Division. This will be a severe blow for Dawn Gaming because the team bought its slot from CDEC in the offseason.
The Upper Division of the DPC: China Winter Tour runs from January 5 to February 3. The teams compete for 4 invitations to The Lima Major 2023, $205,000, and 690 DPC points.
