DPC Winter intermediate results after 2 weeks
The second week of the DPC Winter regional leagues is over. Every region has favorites and underdogs. Let's look at the intermediate results of the teams from the Upper Divisions.
Europe
Unexpectedly for many, the 2 grands of the European scene, Nigma Galaxy and Alliance, are at the bottom of the standings with 0-2 statistics. If Nigma Galaxy's result can be explained by playing with an incomplete roster, Alliance were very unlucky with the seeding, and their first opponents were Team Secret and Tundra Esports.
Currently, the only undefeated team in the region is Team Liquid. However, this week they have 2 matches scheduled: Wednesday against Tundra Esports and Saturday against Team Secret. The team will likely suffer their first defeat in one of them.
CIS
The leader in the CIS region after 2 weeks is PuckChamp with a 3-1 statistic. Only Team Spirit could beat them. 2 teams with 2-0 stats follow them — the same Team Spirit and HellRaisers.
After the disappointing first week, Natus Vincere and Virtus Pro could rehabilitate themselves and make their statistics better. However, both teams are not as good as analysts expected before the start of the regional leagues.
Southeast Asia
Only BOOM Esports and T1 are going through the season without losses. We must admit that many believed that these participants were the main favorites for the championship titles before the season.
The disappointment of the season is TNC Predator's result. Once, the strongest Southeast Asia's team just can't find their game. The roster, renewed in November, lost all 3 of their opening matches.
North America
The strongest teams after 2 gaming weeks are Team Undying and Quincy Crew. Each team has 3 wins and no losses. The other favorite of the season, Evil Geniuses, has already lost the match against Black n Yellow.
At the bottom of the standings are Arkosh, consisting of several pro players and casters, and simply TOOBASED, who was unlucky to start the season with matches against Team Undying and Quincy Crew.
South America
South America is without surprises. The favorites Thunder Predator and beastcoast have gone undefeated and are sitting at the top of the standings. Both teams may qualify for February Major.
At the bottom of the standings, there are 3 teams without a single win: Lava BestPC, Hokori и SG Esports. They have in common that they were all formed just before the start of the DPC season. It's quite possible that they just didn't have enough time to find their playstyle.
