DreamLeague S21 Group Stage Results
We’ve click-baited you a little because the entire Group Stage hasn’t ended just yet. The match between Quest Esports and Gaimin Gladiators was postponed to tomorrow after Quest had a power outage in their facility.
Other than that, every other team has completed their group stage matches. Here’s everything that happened:
Group A Results
The brackets from Group A have been confirmed.
The two Upper Bracket representatives from Group A will be Shopify Rebellion and Tundra Esports.
Shopify Rebellion has always been a solid group-stage team, but the real question is what they will be able to achieve in the playoffs. Meanwhile, Tundra’s roster debut with Topson is somewhat successful, as they have finished second place in their group.
Entity Gaming and 9 Pandas will start their playoffs from the Lower Bracket.
9 Pandas started the group stage with a clean 4-0 record, but ended with a score of 5-5. Despite having a stand-in, Entity still survived the group stage with a respectable 6-4 record.
Meanwhile, Team Liquid and Talon Esports make surprise exits in the group stage after a poor 2-8 score.
Group B Results (Unfinished)
4/6 teams have their fates sealed from the group stage. The remaining two teams, Quest Esports and Gaimin Gladiators will have their matchup tomorrow to decide who is eliminated and who stays.
Both EEU teams, Team Spirit and BetBoom Team, secure their Upper Bracket slots.
The two teams seemed untouchable, with 9-1 and 7-3 finishes. The BetBoom Team had a weak performance in the BetBoom DACHA LAN Stage but showed it was a fluke.
Along with their new roster, OG managed to stay in the tournament with a 5-5 record. They must step up their game to continue their DreamLeague run, as this is their last tournament for a while.
The Gaimin Gladiators will play against Quest Esports in an elimination match. However, the Gladiators have the upper hand. Quest must win the series 2-0 to continue their journey in the tournament. The Gladiators only need to win one game to qualify for the playoffs.
Though it’s old news, Evil Geniuses have already been eliminated from the tournament since Day 2.
