DreamLeague Season 23 Day 2: GG, Falcons, and Tundra Secure Upper Bracket Slots
The second day of the DreamLeague Season 23 Group Stage has ended, and four teams have locked in their outcomes. Gaimin Gladiators, Team Falcons, and Tundra Esports with a stand-in have qualified for the Upper Bracket. Unfortunately, we bid farewell to the first eliminated team, PSG Quest.
Group A
The Gladiators have secured the number one position in Group A with an impressive 7-1 record. Their only loss was against Heroic.
Xtreme Gaming delivered the finishing blow against PSG Quest after a 2-0 victory, eliminating the MENA squad from the event. TA2000 and the boys end Day 2 with a 1-7 score and can no longer qualify for the Playoffs.
Team Liquid is on the brink of elimination, sitting in 5th place with only 3 points. The Western European squad won the first map against Xtreme Gaming, but threw a 22,000 gold lead on the second to draw the series.
However, Aurora and Heroic are only one point above Team Liquid, so anything can still happen on the final day.
Group B
Both Upper Bracket slots in Group B have been booked by Team Falcons and Tundra Esports, who are sitting on 7-1 and 6-2 records, respectively.
Topson played Pudge on the Mid Lane in both games against Natus Vincere and ended the series 2-0 in his favor.
The rest of the bracket remains tight, as three teams have 3 points. Surprisingly, the BetBoom Team has the lowest score in the group, with only 2 wins. Nightfall will face his former teammate Arteezy in what essentially is an elimination match tomorrow.
On the final day of the Group Stage, teams will only play one match. However, the tournament schedule remains open in case any tiebreakers are required.
