EEU Qualifiers Day 2: Sonneiko's Stack Survives, Na'Vi Junior Upset Team Sexy
The second day of the Eastern European Qualifiers was brutal, as four teams had their TI dreams crushed. Here's what happened today!
Matreshka 1-2 Storm
Team Matreshka is one of the weakest teams in the qualifier, making Storm heavy favorites to take this series. Though it was pretty rocky, Storm pulled through and closed the series 2-1.
Matreshka has been eliminated from the qualifiers, and SoNNeikO’s stack will move on to the next stage.
Nemiga Gaming 2-0 Sibe Team
Nemiga Gaming was disappointing in their match against Natus Vincere and is looking to redeem themselves through a Lower Bracket run. Fortunately for the Nemiga side, their opponents, the Sibe Team, didn't pose too much of a threat.
Nemiga stomped both games to take the series 2-0, sending the Sibe Team packing.
Team Sexy 1-2 Na'Vi Junior
The highlight of the day has to be Na'Vi Junior winning against Team Sexy. Team Sexy were considerable opponents in the qualifier, and they dropped the ball against Natus Vincere's junior team after three games.
Team Sexy will be making a disappointing exit from the qualifiers while Na'Vi Junior continues their run.
UALEIKUMNIHAO 1-2 MoneyMakers
The day ended with UALEIKUMNIHAO facing MoneyMakers in an elimination match. The result ended in favor of the MoneyMakers, as they managed to take the series 2-1.
UALEIKUMNIHAO's roster addition of Roman "Otaker" Aliullov failed to help the team go deeper into the qualifier and will be exiting the EEU qualifiers early while MoneyMakers continue their run.
