Epic Esports Events announces Dota 2 Champions League S9

Tournament organizer Epic Esports Events has announced the 9th season of the Dota 2 Champions League. The tournament is scheduled for April 4-23, and its prize pool is $50,000 as usual. The group stage features 14 teams: 12 received direct invitations, and 2 more will go through open qualifiers.
Teams invited to the group stage:
- V-Gaming;
- Hydra;
- cybercats;
- Team Empire;
- Gambit Esports;
- CHILLAX;
- Nemiga Gaming;
- No Monkey Business;
- AS Monaco Gambit;
- No Sorry;
- Lilgun;
- Yet Another Team.
Group stage matches play according to the Round Robin system in BO3 format. Its participants with the highest scores advance to the playoffs to compete in a Double Elimination bracket. The organizer didn't announce the order of the group advancing.
The 8th season of Dota 2 Champions League ends today. At 03:00 pm CEST, ex-Winstrike and Entity Gaming in the grand final of the championship.
