Everything You Need To Know About ESL One Bangkok 2024
To end off the 2024 season, we’ll have a tournament in Southeast Asia to close the year. ESL One Bangkok 2024 begins in two days, and will feature some of the best teams in the world competing for a million-dollar prize pool.
ESL One Bangkok 2024 Overview
ESL One Bangkok 2024 is an offline Dota 2 event that is held in Bangkok, Thailand, meaning matches will be played in the Southeast Asian region. The tournament runs from December 9 to 15, and features a prize pool of $1,000,000. However, there are also 20,940 EPT points up for grabs.
As usual, Group Stages and several matches for the Playoffs will be played in hotel rooms, but the main event will be witnessed by a live audience in the Royal Paragon Hall.
ESL One Bangkok 2024 Teams
12 teams will participate in ESL One Bangkok 2024. Four teams have been directly invited via EPT points, while the remaining eight have succeeded in their respective regional qualifiers.
ESL One Bangkok 2024 Tournament Format
The tournament will have two phases – Group Stage and Playoffs.
Group Stage Format

12 teams have been divided into two groups of six.

All matches in the Group Stage will be played in Best of 2 format.

The top two teams from each group advance to the Upper Bracket.

The 3rd to 4th place teams from each group advance to the Lower Bracket.

The bottom two teams from each group will be eliminated.Unlike the previous Blast Slam I tournament, we will see teams exit out of the tournament by the end of the Group Stage.
Playoffs Format

Teams are seeded into a double-elimination bracket.

All matches are played in Best of 3 format.

Except for the Grand Final, which will be played in Best of 5.
This is the usual Playoffs format we see in most Dota tournaments. Matches in this phase will be played in the live venue.
