Last large tournament of 2021 — Huya Dota2 Winter Invitational

Tournament organizer Huya and the Chinese eSports Association have announced the Huya Dota2 Winter Invitational. The tournament will run from December 23 to 31 and has a total prize pool of $140,000.
The tournament features 10 teams from China and Southeast Asia in an online format. The organizer gave out 8 direct invitations and will draw the remaining slots at qualifiers.

The tournament includes 2 stages: groups and playoffs. In the group stage, all participants will be divided into 2 groups and play each other in a Single Round-Robin bracket with BO2 matches. After that:
- 1-2 places from each group qualify for the playoffs upper bracket;
- 3-4 places from each group qualify for the playoffs lower bracket;
- 5 places from each group leave the tournament.
The playoffs have a Double-Elimination bracket with the BO5 grand final played and all other matches in a BO3 series. The winner will earn $34,000.
