OG survive relegation, D1 Hustlers and Entity to face off to decide relegation
OG made a deep run in the Berlin Major, finishing 5-6th place, but it’s no secret that they’ve had a rough Summer Tour. The young squad was sitting at a 1-4 score in the group stage, and relegation looked highly likely. However, they won an essential series against Entity to keep their Division I hopes alive with their new group stage standing of 2-4.
The final hurdle for OG were D1 Hustlers, who had the same win/loss record. The winner of this matchup would guarantee their slot in Division I for next season, while the loser will have to play against Entity in a tiebreaker to see who’ll join Secret in the trip to Division II.
Fortunately for OG, they were able to fix their issues in their previous matches and convert a clean 2-0 victory against the Hustlers. Both games ended in 30 minutes, with clean games from OG overall. Unfortunately, OG will still miss out on the final Major of the competitive year.
Both Entity and D1 Hustlers lost to OG and will face the consequences in a death match to figure out who will start the next DPC season in the lower division. The 6th-7th place tiebreaker will take place on the 5th of June.
