Overview of the DPC South America Division One matches of May 23
Mad Kings surprised everyone by defeating beastcost on two cards. EG easily defeated Hokori. And Infinity was stronger than Balrogs.
beastcost 0:2 Mad Kings
Mad Kings approached this match as underdogs, however, the first game was played to their complete advantage. Already on the 19th minute they broke the first side, and the gold advantage reached 12,000. Despite this, beastcost managed to have a successful fight. Thanks to a pipi mistake on Ember Spirit, who flew in from the buyback and died again, beastcost were able to get back in the game. The next brawl also went well for beastcost, and the gold advantage was almost gone. The game was decided by two K1 mistakes on Juggernaut. Dying twice without a byback, Mad Kings were able to take down all sides and deservedly win.
On the second map for a long time there was no obvious advantage in anyone's favor. The fight on the 38th minute was decisive. Mad Kings managed to kill all the beastcost heroes in a protracted match, and most importantly, Naga Siren had no buyback left. Already on their high ground beastcost defended with all their might, but without Naga it was impossible. Contrary to all expectations, the Mad Kings were able to finish the series 2-0.
EG 2:0 Hokori
The first game started with EG completely dominating on all lines. Chris Luck with Shadow Fiend took out the enemy Void Spirit in midlane and by the 6th minute he was already 2,000 ahead. By the 20th minute, the gold advantage was over 13,000 in favor of EG. Hokori could not cope with such an onslaught from the Evil Geniuses and decided to surrender.
On the second map, Hokori picked up Tinker for 24 spades, but even that didn't help them cope with EG. Again, awesome play from Chris Luck in the mid and over 15,000 advantage in the 20th minute for his team. Without any intrigue, EG take the second map as well.
Infinity 2-0 Balrogs
On the first map of the encounter, the Infinity's began to gain the advantage from 15 minutes on. Balrogs just couldn't get back to them. All they could do was drag the game out a bit. On 42 minutes, there was a brawl for Roshan in which Adrian on Windranger made a Rampage, but despite this, Balrogs managed to fight well and take the aegis with their bypasses. But even with Aegis, the gold advantage was 16,000 in favor of Infinity. After waiting for the Aegis to finish, Infinity fought again and finished the game successfully, because their opponent already had buybacks left.
The deciding map ended, also in favor of Infinity. Thanks to Mr. Jeans' great play on Earth Spirit, they were able to seize the initiative from the start. 11/3/10 for Mr. Jeans and a second win for his team.
