The International 2024 has ended, but that doesn’t mean the Dota action stops. We have PGL Wallachia Season 2 coming up in a few days, featuring some new lineups.

The PGL Wallachia Season 2 tournament will run from October 4 to 13, and features 16 participants. It is an offline event and will distribute a prize pool of $1,000,000.

The participants for the tournament are as follows:

    Group Stage

The tournament will use the Swiss Stage format for its group stage, meaning teams must win three matches to qualify for the Playoffs, or three losses will result in their elimination – whichever comes first. All matches are played in Bo3 format.

With 16 teams in the mix, 8 teams will advance to the Playoffs, while 8 teams will be eliminated at the conclusion of the Group Stage.

    Playoffs

The Playoffs for PGL Wallachia Season 2 follow the standard procedure for Dota 2 tournaments.

The 8 surviving teams from the Group Stage will all start at the Upper Bracket. Losing the opening series will drop them down to the Lower Bracket for a second chance.

All matches in the Playoffs are played in Bo3 format, except for the Grand Final, which will be played in Bo5.

    Notable Teams To Watch

One of the most anticipated teams at this event is Tundra Esports, featuring the return of 33 and Saksa. However, the WEU squad is fielding an incomplete roster with Shad and MidOneas stand-ins.

An obvious favorite to win the entire event is Team Falcons. The MENA squad decided to stick together and did not make any changes to the roster.

Another team to look out for is Nigma Galaxy, a team that went through a significant roster change. The new Nigma roster has been performing quite well online, but we’ll finally see them play on LAN.

Invictus Gaming from China has also signed a completely new roster with Emo, BoBoKa, and Oli returning to the organization.
