Saksa To Replace 9class At Tundra Esports For TI13
Tundra Esports has announced on Twitter/X that their support player, 9Class, will not be able to attend The International 2024 due to visa issues. As a result, they have called upon a familiar face – Saksa.
Official statement from the Tundra Esports organization:
“Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, the visa situation with 9class hasn’t been resolved, and as such, he will be unable to compete at The International 2024. This is not how we picture going into TI, and our hearts go out to Edgar.
As always, we will battle through adversity, to do 9class and our fans proud at TI.
To this end we welcome Saksa back to competitive Dota and Tundra as our Pos 4 stand-in for TI.”
The unfortunate news means that 9Class will miss his TI debut after playing exceptionally well throughout his first year of professional play.
Saksa has not played Tier 1 Dota 2 for over a year, choosing to skip The International 2023 due to health and personal issues. However, he was recently seen playing in the Western European Qualifiers for The International 2024 with Gorgc at Team Bald Reborn. After the “stream stack” failed to book tickets to Copenhagen, Saksa announced he was ready to return to professional play for the next season.
It looks like Saksa has received a golden opportunity by getting a free ticket to play at Dota 2’s biggest stage. However, will Tundra Esports perform well with a last-minute change?
The International 2024 will begin on September 4 to September 15, and is held in Copenhagen, Denmark.
