Solo Parts Ways With 9Pandas
The 9Pandas organization has decided to let go of their captain, Solo, after a year and a half of collaboration. The 33-year-old has been put up on the transfer list.
Solo shared a few words on his departure from the team:
“Guys, hello everyone! I want to thank 9Pandas for all the support, care, development of the team and me personally. The organization has a magnificent, friendly, professional team and I would like to say warm words about everyone personally, but then this will be a very long post.
Special thanks to 9Pandas CEO Julia for her involvement in all processes and caring attitude towards the team. I wish 9Pandas prosperity, success and bright victories GOGO PANDAS <3.”
He continued to discuss his future plans:
“As for my plans, for now I plan to have a good rest. I will continue to monitor the reshuffle and keep my finger on the pulse, if there is an opportunity to play with strong players and there is faith in the team, there is still gunpowder).
Or, do you think it’s time to chill out, maybe it’s time to train young people? It seems that the old man in prime turned out to be in the qualifier. In any case, after resting, it’s time to start streaming, I’ll get involved. I hug everyone and send rays of goodness and good mood!”
Despite aging, Solo is not ready to hang his jersey yet. He could potentially return to the scene with a team full of youngsters, but also hinted that he is open to coaching opportunities as well. He is currently ranked 277th on the European leaderboards, so it is safe to say he is still in shape.
During his tenure at 9Pandas, Solo had respectable runs, including:
-
3rd place at Berlin Major 2023
-
5-6th place at Bali Major 2023
-
5-6th place at Riyadh Masters 2023
-
5-6th place at BetBoom DACHA 2023
-
7-8th place at DreamLeague Season 20
-
7-8th place at DreamLeague Season 21
-
9-12th place at The International 12
Unfortunately, the 2024 iteration of 9Pandas failed to find any success after RAMZES666 left the squad.
Throughout his career, Solo played for notable Eastern European teams such as Virtus.pro, Natus Vincere, and HellRaisers. He has earned over $2,000,000 in lifetime tournament winnings and won several Majors in 2017 to 2018. However, his progress noticably slowed down in the recent years. Is Solo done for good, or will we expect to see him back on the server?
