Royal Never Give Up member ??Lu "Somnus" Yao announced the end of his career after he departed from The International 11. The Esportsman shared his decision on Weibo. The organization hasn't announced the termination of the player's contract yet.
Yao has been on the professional Dota 2 scene since 2013. He was a member of Vici Gaming, CDEC, PSG.LGD, RNG, and others. His main achievement was second place at The International 2018. The player also placed 3rd twice at The International 2019 and 2017.
Royal Never Give Up placed 12-16 at The International 11. During the group stage, 4 members of the team tested positive for COVID and played the championship from isolation rooms. After that, the team didn't win a single match.
