Talon And Aurora To Represent SEA At The International
The Southeast Asian qualifiers for The International 2024 have ended, with Talon Esports and Aurora being named the winners.
Both teams played against each other in the Upper Bracket Final for the first regional slot. Though Aurora were the heavy favorites, Talon Esports played out of their minds and surprised Southeast Asian fans with a 2-0 victory, allowing four out of five members to make it to their first TI.
It is worth noting that Mikoto joined the Talon Esports lineup one day before the roster lock for the qualifiers. He rejoined the organization he left last year, and took down his former teammates who are now in Aurora to claim the first slot.
Despite the tough loss, Aurora persevered in the Lower Bracket Final, where they easily took down TNC Predator. As a result, the entire Talon Esports roster from 2023 have qualifed for their second TI in a row.
The newest player on the team, lorenof, was shown visibly shedding tears of joy after qualifying for his first TI, which clearly shows that the team’s qualification meant a lot to him.
Only the Western European Qualifiers for The International remain. By the end of today, we’ll have a complete lineup of participants at The International 2024.
