Team Liquid’s New Roster Claims First Victory At 1win Series Fall
The TI-winning organization had a rough start to the new Dota 2 season after taking on SabeRLighT as a replacement to 33, showing unsatisfactory results at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 and DreamLeague Season 24. However, it looks like Team Liquid just needed some time to adjust, and is now playing top-tier Dota as shown in the 1win Series Dota 2 Fall tournament.
Team Liquid had a near-flawless run at the $100,000 event, only dropping a single map throughout the entire run. They started the Group Stage with easy victories over Nigma Galaxy and the Gaimin Gladiators to qualify for the Playoffs.
In the Semi Final match, Team Liquid dropped the first game against PARIVISION, but quickly adapted to their mistakes and changed up their drafts to pull off the reverse sweep and reach the Grand Final.
Their Grand Final opponents turned out to be Team Spirit. Though fans were expecting a tight series between the two, the boys in blue completely outclassed the Eastern European squad and dominated the series in 3 - 0 fashion.
Game 1 was somewhat interesting, but the series onward was a total stomp. Nisha is DLTV’s pick to be the Grand Final MVP, having a combined KDA of 36/9/64 and dealing the highest hero damage in all three maps.
With this victory, Team Liquid claimed the first-place prize totaling $50,000, and is in good form for the upcoming Blast Slam I tournament that begins in three days.
