Team Liquid And BetBoom Team Book Tickets To Malaysia
The first two teams to make it through the Closed Qualifiers for ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 have been decided: Team Liquid from WEU and BetBoom Team from EEU.
The two European regions were the only ones gifted with two invites to the tournament. If you recall, Team Spirit dropped out of Kuala Lumpur earlier due to health issues, and their vacant spot was passed to the Western Europe region.
In the Western European Qualifier, Team Liquid defeated Entity Gaming in the Upper Bracket Final to be Malaysia-bound. Team Liquid did not drop a single map against D1 Hustlers, Team Tickles, and Entity Gaming, leaving their new roster with 33 unscathed.
Remember that Entity Gaming is playing the Qualifier without their new Mid-Laner, No[o]ne. Still, the boys have a second chance in the Lower Bracket Final, where they will play against OG or Team Secret for the final qualification spot from WEU.
Meanwhile, in the Eastern European region, the BetBoom Team barely defeated Virtus.Pro in a series that went the distance. The BB Team could close the nail-biting match with a score of 2-1 after a 73-minute Game 3. The super team will go to their next battle, securing visas to Malaysia.
Like Entity Gaming, Virtus.Pro is also playing with a stand-in in the place of their Carry player, Kiritych. They have dropped down to the Lower Bracket, where they will face KLIM SANI4 or 9 Pandas for the final EEU invite.
