Talon disbanded their roster, where four former members migrated to Team Aurora. As a result, Talon built a new team, but many people saw the roster as a massive downgrade.
However, everyone was proven wrong, as Talon defeated Team Aurora 2-1 in the Lower Bracket of the SEA Closed Qualifiers for ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023. The series was super tight, especially with a 78-minute Game 3 to decide the series.
A loss in the Lower Bracket meant that Team Aurora had been eliminated from the qualifier and will not make an appearance in Malaysia.
Talon will face Blacklist International in the Lower Bracket Final. The winner of the series will play against Geek Fam for the singular SEA slot at ESL One Kuala Lumpur.
