Thunder Awaken Defeat Acatsuki To Complete Their TI Qualifier Run
Thunder Awaken started the Final Day of the South American Qualifiers in the fourth round of the Lower Bracket, where they faced Mad Kings.
Thunder Awaken 2-1 Mad Kings
Game 1 of the series was controlled by Mad Kings, but it turned out to be a 62-minute game, where Thunder Predator almost made a comeback after being 29,000 gold down. However, Mad Kings still closed the game to take advantage.
Despite the close loss, Thunder Awaken reset and stomped the next two games in 30 and 25 minutes, giving Mad Kings no chance in the remainder of the series. Thunder Awaken reversed the series and won it 2-1.
Thunder Awaken's final opponents for the last South American slot are Team Acatsuki, who lost to Keyd Stars in the Upper Bracket Final yesterday.
Thunder Awaken 2-0 Acatsuki
Thunder Awaken carried their momentum from the previous series and destroyed Acatsuki on the first map, winning it in 35 minutes.
The second game was a repeat of the first, as Slatem$ had an incredible performance on his Ember Spirit, going 21/0/14 to force Acatsuki to tap out of the series.
Thunder Awaken defeated Acatsuki 2-0 and will represent their region at The International. Congratulations to them!
