Tundra Esports Crash Out Of ESL One Bangkok Qualifiers
Hyped up to be one of the most promising rosters ahead of the 2025 season, Tundra Esports has fallen short in the ESL One Bangkok 2024 Western European Qualifiers in a very early exit. The team only won one series in the Qualifiers and was sent out in 5th - 6th place out of 8 participants.
After winning their opening series against Zero Tenacity, Tundra marched on to the Upper Bracket Semi Final to play against AVULUS. Despite being the heavy favorite to win with bettings odds of 1.21, Nightfall and company lost the series in three maps after a back-and-forth 64-minute decider.
After the loss to Stormstormer and AVULUS, Tundra had one more chance to go through the Lower Bracket Final, where 33 and Saksa were met with their old teammate, Nine, with his new OG squad. 23savage had two excellent games to push OG to complete the upset, doing so in 2-0 fashion.
This loss meant Tundra would miss the upcoming Tier 1 LAN tournament following a 5th place finish at DreamLeague Season 24. They have not been able to replicate their dominance since BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024, where they finished second.
The Western European Qualifiers for ESL One Bangkok 2024 continue to rage on, with notable teams such as Team Liquid, Gaimin Gladiators, and OG duking it out for two slots to the million-dollar event.
