Valve announces qualifiers for the new DPC season
Last night, Valve presented the changed qualifying rules for the new DPC season and their dates. The information is available on the official Dota 2 website.
Winter Tour qualifiers' dates:
- Open Qualifiers: December 11-18, 2022
- Closed Qualifiers: December 19-22, 2022
Spring Tour qualifiers' dates:
- Open Qualifiers: March 13-18, 2023
- Closed Qualifiers: March 19-22, 2023
Summer Tour qualifiers' dates:
- Open Qualifiers: May 15-20, 2023
- Closed Qualifiers: May 21-24, 2023
The Open Winter Qualifiers in each region are 8 days long and include 4 tournaments. Registration for each is free. At the end of each of these tournaments, 2 teams advance to the Closed Qualifiers.
The Closed Winter Qualifiers last 4 days and feature 8 teams from the Open Qualifiers. No team from the previous season receives a direct entry. The qualification format includes a Double-Elimination bracket without a grand final. The two strongest teams from each region qualify for the Regional League Lower Division.
