Valve updates the rules for the new DPC season
Last night, Valve changed the rules for the DPC 22/23 season. The developer published them on the game's official website. In this article, we highlight the main changes.
When does the transfer window close?
The first DPC 22/23 transfer window closes on December 9, 2022. Teams have exactly one month before the start of the Regional Leagues Upper Divisions: Winter Tour.
Can a team play with substitutes in the majors?
Any team participating in a major with a substitute receives a penalty of 40% DPC points earned for each such player. A team may use no more than 2 substitutions, or it is disqualified from the championship.
Can a team change its roster during the season?
Yes, it can. However, each player's removal from a roster leads to a 20% penalty for all DPC points earned. The points are rounded down after the player's removal.
Who owns a team slot?
An owner of a slot is the person registered as an administrator of a team. It can be either a team captain or a team manager. The registered administrator is considered the sole owner of the team and can exclude any members.
If a team wants to have more than one administrator or limit the rights of its administrator, the team’s members can sign contracts between them, which Valve will take into account in controversial situations.
The next DPC season begins on January 9. It includes 3 tours of Regional Leagues and 3 majors. After that, The International 2023 will take place, but its exact dates are unknown.
