Wings could have disbanded before The International 2016
The winner of The International 2016, Team Wings, could have disbanded before the championship even started. Former Soniqs manager Jack "KBBQ" Chen revealed this on a podcast for OG Channel.

It happened at a bootcamp before TI6. The players trained against DC. I don't think you'll be surprised, but DC played well against Wings. When they came to the high ground, one of the players, I won't give you a name, got really upset. He got furious because Wings couldn't fight back. The others tried to calm him down and said: "Chill out. We'll talk about it after the game." At one point, he exploded and threw his teammate off his chair, then the fight started. I didn't want them to break the computers. We broke them up, and they started fighting again. It was my first experience with a professional team. I didn't know it was like that. I wasn't sure that they would continue to perform together after that. The players were very emotional and stopped talking to each other. They were close to disbanding but decided to finish the tournament.
After this story, Wings found the strength to pull themselves together and won The International 2016. The team existed until 2017, but the players went to other organizations due to delayed payments.
