Women's team disqualified from the DPC: NA Lower Division
Last night, the ESL tournament organizer disqualified bumble bEE's from the North American DPC Regional League Winter Season. The team consisted of 4 girls and 1 guy. There has been no official announcement from the organizer yet.
According to bumble bEE's team members' social media accounts, the exclusion was due to the withdrawal of ??Maxwell "Hotaruz" Bateman. He was accused of rape in 2017, but the charges were dropped due to insufficient evidence. This fact, discovered by the Dota 2 community, brought a lot of hate to his new team, and he decided to leave the roster. As the transfer period was already over, the team could not find a replacement for him and was disqualified.
Now an extra slot in the Lower Division of North America will be brawn at the qualifiers, ending tomorrow.
Bumble bEE's roster:
- ??Sayuri "Fari" Yamanaka;
- ??Freya "Papaya" Holmström;
- ??Michelle "Michelle" Gomez;
- ??Maxwell "Hotaruz" Bateman;
- ??Isabelle "Butterfliess" Goulet.
