Xtreme Gaming Deny Aurora’s Ratting Shenanigans, Eliminating SEA From TI13
The next elimination match of the day featured the two final Asian teams, Xtreme Gaming and Aurora. The former came into the series as the heavy favorite and did not disappoint the Chinese fans who flew across the globe to attend the event.
In the first map, lorenof picked his trusty Timbersaw that helped his team get through the tournament, but Xm had a free last-pick Queen of Pain game that answered all Xtreme Gaming’s problems. The Chinese squad outmaneuvered Aurora in every aspect of the game, and won it after 38 minutes of convincing gameplay.
For Game 2, Ame went for a Time Zone Faceless Void to counter lorenof’s Storm Spirit, while we got two new heroes on the stage: Pugna for Dy and Lycan for jabz. Overall, Xtreme Gaming had control of the entire game, but Aurora played very ratty Dota.
Aurora’s draft was based on picking off Xtreme Gaming heroes, with Oli~ finding a Fiend’s Grip and 23savage coming in to help as Spectre while jabz tried taking buildings. Though Aurora tried to rat out Xtreme Gaming, the latter eventually grouped up and easily won the 5v5 engagements and sealed the series 2-0.
The boys from Southeast Asia exit the tournament in 7th - 8th place, while Xtreme Gaming continue to face the loser of Gaimin Gladiators versus Tundra Esports.
