History of Team Secret
??Team Secret is a European Dota 2 team. The idea for the team came from ??Kuro "KuroKy" Takhasomi and ??Johan "N0tail" Sundstein after The International in 2014. The first roster was formed from friends, and ??Clement "Puppey" Ivanov from Natus Vincere became the captain. The roster also included ??Gustav "s4" Magnusson from Alliance and ??Tal "Fly" Aizik from Fnatic.
??Team Secret's first official game took place on August 27, 2014, as part of Starladder Season 10, where the team lost to Alliance.
The first changes in the team were in early 2015 when ??Johan "N0tail" Sundstein and ??Tal "Fly" Aizik left the team and replaced by ??Artour "Arteezy" Babaev and ??Ludwig "zai" Wåhlberg. By April 2015, ??Team Secret was considered the strongest team in the world.
Despite the strongest roster and confident play within the season, the team took only the 7-8 place on The International 2015. This result forced the team to make huge roster changes. In August 2015, ??Artour "Arteezy" Babaev, ??Gustav "s4" Magnusson, ??Ludwig "zai" Wåhlberg and ??Kuro "KuroKy" Takhasomi left the team. There was only ??Clement "Puppey" Ivanov, who started to form a new roster.
Already on August 22, a new roster was presented, which included ??Jacky "EternaLEnVy" Mao, ??Aliwi "w33" Omar, ??Rasmus "MISERY" Filipsen, and ??Johan "pieliedie" Åström.
Despite the victory at The Shanghai Major 2016, already at the end of March 2016, ??Team Secret decided to replace ??Aliwi "w33" Omar and ??Rasmus "MISERY" Filipsen with ??Artour "Arteezy" Babaev and ??Saahil "Universe" Arora.
Before The International 2016, in June of the same year, there was another replacement of ??Saahil "Universe" Arora with ??Kanishka "BuLba" Sosale, but this did not help the team. As a result - 13-16 place at The International 2016.
After such terrible results at The International 2016, ??Team Secret once again changed the roster, leaving only ??Clement "Puppey" Ivanov and ??Johan "pieliedie" Åström. This time the players from the Asian region were signed: ??Pyo "MP" No-a, ??Yeik "MidOne" Nai Zheng, and ??Lee "Forev" Sang-don.
3 months later, in November 2016, ??Lee "Forev" Sang-don left the team, and ??Maurice "KheZu" Gutmann came to replace him. And in May 2015, ??Johan "pieliedie" Åström was replaced by ??Yazied "YapzOr" Jaradat.
At The International in 2017, the team once again showed a bad play and took only 9-12 places, which bring to reshuffles. This time there are three players left in the team: ??Clement "Puppey" Ivanov, ??Yeik "MidOne" Nai Zheng, and ??Yazied "YaYapzOrzOr" Jaradat. ??Marcus "Ace" Hoelgaard and ??Adrian "Fata" Trinks joined the team.
Since the new roster formation in August 2017, ??Team Secret didn't make any changes for a whole year, but it was still not enough for the championship title at The International 2018 - the team shared the 5th-6th place with ??Virtus Pro.
In August 2018, ??Marcus "Ace" Hoelgaard and ??Adrian "Fata" Trinks left the team. Instead, ??Team Secret signed 17-year-old prodigy ??Michał "Nisha" Jankowski and ??Ludwig "zai" Wåhlberg, who returned from long inactivity.
The last change in the ??Team Secret roster was made in December 2019. ??Lasse "MATUMBAMAN" Urpalainen replaced team midlaner ??Yeik "MidOne" Nai Zheng.
After the pandemic outbreak, during the moving of all Dota 2 Esports tournaments to the online format, ??Team Secret became the strongest Dota 2 team.
