ATF Ends His Journey With Quest Esports Early
Quest Esports has become a serious worldwide competitor in the Tier 1 Dota scene since they added Ammar "ATF" Al-Assaf to the roster. The team faced immediate improvement right after the 18-year-old joined the roster.
With the help of Ammar, Quest Esports could place top four in their regional DPC, qualifying for their first-ever Dota 2 Major. And in Bali, the roster made a deep run, ending the tournament in 4th place, a very respectable finish. The team's next big tournament is Riyadh Masters 2023, but things aren't going as planned.
Today, information spread that Ammar will not attend Riyadh with the team due to contract issues. Hours later, Quest Esports officially announced that Ammar's contract would not be extended, ending his journey with the team.
At first, fans thought Nigma Galaxy was making the contract difficult. However, Ammar shared the situation on his Twitter account that it was the opposite.
Here, the Jordanian mentions that Nigma Galaxy did their best to help him with the loan and buyout situation. Apparently, it was actually Quest Esports that offered Ammar an unfair contract. Ammar then mentions in his tweet that the contract he was offered was "unacceptable" for him
Did we just lose one of the most promising rosters of the year? What do you guys think about the situation?
I don't think they will be as good without Ammar. The team has so much potential, so sad about this :((
