CN Qualifiers Day 2: Four Teams Are Eliminated
Today, four Lower Bracket matches were played. Teams that lost today have been eliminated from the qualifier and will bid their TI dreams farewell.
Team Zero 2-0 Big Brain
Team Zero, led by Ti6 winner Li "iceice" Peng, took a convincing victory against team Big Brain. Both games were 20-minute stomps, and Team Zero live to see another day.
Aster.Aries 2-0 IG Vitality
Aster.Aries is arguably the strongest team in the Lower Bracket right now, and they had to face decent opponents in the form of IG.V. Fortunately for the Aster.Aries side, everything went as planned as they could take the series 2-0, demolishing IG.V in less than 30 minutes in both games.
Holy Grail 2-0 Team Disillusion
Holy Grail came into the match as clear favourites, but Team Disillusion didn't go down without a fight. The series' first game was utterly back-and-forth, with the net worth graph swinging up and down. Still, Holy Grail could take the victory 53 minutes in.
The next game wasn't too competitive; it only took Holy Grail 21 minutes to end the second one.
Team Bright 2-1 Supernova
Many fans had high expectations for Team Bright after they almost beat Azure Ray yesterday, and the team didn't disappoint.
Team Bright easily won the first map against Supernova but got stomped back in the second, and a third game was forced. No upsets happened today, as Team Bright won the decider to keep their TI run going. However, they will not be expecting easy opponents anymore.
Updated Bracket
With the results of today, the bracket for the Chinese Qualifiers looks like this:
Tomorrow's Matches
Today wasn't the most exciting day of Dota for the Chinese region, but all the big dogs will play their matches tomorrow. Team Aster will play against Xtreme Gaming, and Invictus Gaming will take on Azure Ray.
