DLTV Best Player Awards Of 2023, Position 4: Second Place
Second place in our ranking of the best position four players was taken by the BetBoom Team's Save. He is known to be one of the world's most mechanically skilled Soft Support players, and he displayed his capabilities throughout 2023 despite not winning a single tournament.
The BetBoom Team didn't have the most outstanding results but made several deep runs in large tournaments:
- 16th place at The Lima Major 2023
- 12th place at DreamLeague S19
- 14th place at Berlin Major 2023
- 2nd place at DreamLeague S20
- 6th place at Riyadh Masters 2023
- 3rd place at DreamLeague S21
- 5th place at The International 12
- 4th place at ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023
We didn't put Save on here just because of his reputation; he has the stats to back it up (relative to other position four players):
- Top 2 KDA: 3.52
- Top 1 Average Damage Per Game: 18158
- Top 3 (Least) Average Deaths Per Game: 5.08
- Top 4 Kill Participation: 68.6%
- Top 1 Average Healing Per Game: 2243
Over the past year, Save played 230 maps and boasted a respectable win rate of 63.5%. He had 23 heroes in his hero pool, but three of them stood out:
- Keeper of the Light (30 Maps, 80% Win Rate)
- Pugna (33 Maps, 70% Win Rate)
- Techies (41 Maps, 63% Win Rate)
We think Save has a "secret" to maintaining his skill. He has no social media presence and is not interested in fashionable things, partying, and relaxation. He's always on the grind, and Dota is 100% of his focus.
Tomorrow, we'll name the best position four player of the year!
