Gaimin Gladiators Soar To The Playoffs After Indirectly Eliminating Three Teams
The Gaimin Gladiators squad has indirectly eliminated BOOM Esports, Aurora, and the BetBoom Team from the Elite League after their final Group Stage match.
The Gladiators easily picked up a much-needed 2-0 victory against Blacklist International. The series wasn’t too interesting, as the expected winners could stomp both games to complete a clean sweep. However, what the results did to the rest of the group was the main highlight of the match.
Before the series, the Gladiators had 6 points, while Aurora, BOOM , and the BetBoom Team were trailing by 7, 5, and 5 points, respectively. With a 2-0 win, the Gladiators secured 8 points, which is sufficient for their spot in the Playoffs.
As a result, the outcomes of Group B have been decided, and the match between BOOM Esports and the BetBoom Team will no longer have any impact in the group.
Team Liquid, Xtreme Gaming, Tundra Esports, and the Gaimin Gladiators have secured their tickets to the Playoffs, while the remaining teams have been eliminated. No tiebreakers are needed for Group B.
