Gaimin Gladiators Win Three Majors In A Row
We are witnessing one of the most dominant teams to exist in Dota 2 history, as the Gaimin Gladiators have won their third Dota 2 Major in a row after defeating Team Liquid in the Grand Final of the Bali Major with a score of 3-1.
Fans were treated with two entertaining games to start the Grand Final series, but the Gladiators showed they were one class above Team Liquid by demolishing in the next two games.
Gaimin Gladiators have faced Team Liquid in every single Major Final this year, and the result did not change, as Quinn and the boys could defeat Team Liquid in every Major Final to cement their status as the best team in the world.
This result means that Team Liquid finish second place in their third Major in a row, while Tundra Esports finish at a respective third place despite having their coach stand in for Martin "Saksa" Sazdov.
So far, in 2023, five significant events have occurred: three Majors and two DreamLeague seasons, and all five tournaments have been won by the Gaimin Gladiators, four of which they met Team Liquid in the Grand Finals.
An interesting fact is despite Gaimin Gladiators winning all three Dota 2 Majors this year, Team Liquid are still number one in the DPC rankings, with 2150 points against Gaimin's 2140 points.
The next notable tournament before The International 12 is Riyadh Masters 2023, a $15,000,000 tournament that will begin on the 17th of July. If the Gaimin Gladiators can lift the trophy in Riyadh, they will keep $5,000,000 in their pockets.
