In DPC Winter 2023, tie-breaks to be for all disputed spots
Tundra Esports member 🇺🇸Wu "Sneyking" Jingjun said that the current DPC season is different from the previous season in terms of tie-breaks. All teams that finish with the same score will participate in extra matches.
Wu "Sneyking" Jingjun:
Recently, I learned that all teams that finish the regular season with the same stats would play extra matches to determine the final place. This even applies to 6-1 and 1-6 stats. Head-to-head encounters won't be counted.
In the previous season, tie-breaks after the regular season were required for teams with the same stats, competing for a spot in a major or keeping a slot in an Upper Division. After the innovation, tie-breaks will be for all disputed spots.
DPC Winter Upper Division runs from January 5 to February 3. Teams compete for a $205,000 prize, 690 DPC points, and invitations to The Lima Major 2023.
