Patch 7.32 adds a new creep, changes experience, and more
A little over a week before the start of The International 11 Qualifiers, Valve released patch 7.32. The developer changed the formula of getting experience, added a new creep, and Primal Beast appeared in Captain's Mode.
New creep – Flagbearer
Starting at 2:00 minute, one melee creep is replaced by the Flagbearer in each wave. It has 40% magic resistance and an Inspiration Aura, which gives +3 Health Regen to all allies within a 700 range. Killing an enemy Flagbearer will grant you and each allied hero within 1,200 radius bonus gold equal to 100% of a Melee Creep's bounty.
Gaining Experience and Gold slowed down
Many of the changes in patch 7.32 are aimed at slowing down the pace of play. The updated experience formula is no exception. Each new level now requires 100-500 more experience units. As a percentage, the total amount of experience needed to reach level 30 increased by 7%.
Also, the developer has reduced the passive gold gain by 15%. On paper, this looks like a serious blow to supports.
Primal Beast appeared in Captain's Mode
Primal Beast, which was released 6 months ago in patch 7.31, is finally available in Captain's Mode. Teams can now use him in all their pro matches. His first appearance at a major tournament may be at ESL One Malaysia 2022, which is right now in the heat.
In addition to all of the above, Valve has updated the map landscape, rebalanced most of the heroes and artifacts, and changed neutral items. The full changelog is available on the official Dota 2 website.
