Professional teams ranking: July 18
DPC Regional Leagues Summer Tour is over, which means that this update of the World Ranking of Professional Dota 2 Teams brings a lot of dramatic changes. For the first time in months, we have a new leader!
PSG.LGD, who had led the world rankings since mid-April 2022, was dethroned by the new leader, BOOM Esports. The reason for this was the poor performance of PSG.LGD in the Summer Tour: it barely finished in 4th place. At the same time, BOOM Esports didn't leave a chance for their rivals.
Another discovery was the rise of Thunder Awaken to second place. The team earned many points for winning in its region, which was enough for such a breakthrough. At first sight, such a high place doesn't seem to be objective but don't forget that at the end of the season, the team is the leader in the number of DPC points earned.
Evil Geniuses, Outsiders, and Royal Never Give Up haven't been in the Top-10 for a long time, and that changed this week. All 3 teams became champions in their regions which allowed them to make a big increase in our points.
That's not all the changes that happened this week. Follow the World Ranking of Professional Dota 2 Teams to see all the changes.
