Secret, Tundra, and Evil Geniuses Face Off In Three-way Tiebreaker
The first stage of DreamLeague Season 20 is about to end, with the last agenda being a three-way tiebreaker between Team Secret, Tundra Esports, and Evil Geniuses for the final spot in the top eight.
The three teams are tied with 7 points, and only one will advance. The tiebreaker format involves Best of 1s which is always entertaining for fans.
The tiebreaker series must mean a lot to Team Secret, as they are the only ones out of the three teams to miss out on the Bali Major. DreamLeague Season 20 will be the last big event for Team Secret before The International, so they are looking to leave a mark with their new player Saieful "Fbz" Ilham in the Offlane.
Tundra are heavily disadvantaged, as they are fielding two stand-ins, Stanislav "Malr1ne" Potorak and Aleksandr "Immersion" Khmelevskoi, temporarily replacing Leon "Nine" Kirilin and Martin "Saksa" Sazdov. Despite having two stand-ins, Tundra are looking relatively strong and are serious contenders.
Evil Geniuses have a 0-7-0 record in the group stage, meaning they have traded maps with every team in the group stage. However, getting more ties isn't going to help the South American team, as the tiebreakers will only have Best of 1 matches.
The tiebreakers will begin on the 15th of June and continue until a winner is determined.
