Bali Major Groups - Day 3 Results
The third day of the Bali Major group stage is finished. Quest Esports and Team Liquid are the leaders of their respective groups, and Evil Geniuses fail to get another win. Here's all you need to know about Day 3 of the Bali Major.
Group A
Team Liquid was leading Group A on Day 2, and they continued their dominance with a score of 10-2. Their Western European brothers, Tundra Esports, are behind them with a clean record of 7-3.
Beastcoast, after adding David "Parker" Nicho Flores to the roster, is doing very well in the group stage, sitting at seven wins and five losses and projecting an Upper Bracket finish.
Both SEA teams continue to struggle, as Blacklist International and Execration only have 3 points. They are looking at an early exit from the Major if they don't win their matches tomorrow.
Surprisingly, Shopify Rebellion could be looking better, sitting at 7th place with a horrendous record of 4-8, not what everyone was expecting from the first seed of North America.
Group B
In Group B, Quest Esports has an impressive standing of 9-1. Not bad for their first Major, huh?
BetBoom and Gaimin Gladiators are tailing the Middle Eastern squad with 8 and 7 points, respectively. These three teams are well on their way to securing their place in the top four for an Upper Bracket start to the playoffs.
There is a race for the fourth spot in the Upper Bracket, as 9 Pandas, PSG.LGD, and Nouns all have 5 points and are tied.
Evil Geniuses continue their losing streak and are currently 1-11 in maps. They will likely be eliminated unless they can pull off a miracle and win their two remaining matches convincingly.
Games To Watch
Here are some matches you should check out!
Team Aster vs. Shopify Rebellion - Game 1
In the matchup of SumaiL versus his ex-teammates, the North American squad took complete control over the game, with a 28,000 net worth lead at the 60-minute mark.
However, we all know that Dota 2 games can go absolutely wild past the hour mark, and Team Aster somehow pulled off an insane comeback, a 30,000 net worth swing in one minute.
Execration vs. Shopify Rebellion - Game 1
Another match that went over an hour was Execration taking on Shopify Rebellion in the first game of the series. We saw Arteezy on a Carry Lycan, and the game was utterly back-and-forth.
However, Shopify Rebellion was able to finally close it out at the 60-minute mark. It's clearly not a SEA Dota game if it doesn't go over 50 minutes.
Team Aster vs. Beastcoast - Game 2
Team Aster versus Beastcoast wasn't a 60-minute game but a very action-packed map. Both teams were constantly brawling without taking any breaks to farm.
The Chinese team held the net worth lead throughout most of the game, but the amount wasn't significant. The series ended with a total kill score of 92 kills in 42 minutes.
