DotaTV viewers decrease by 80%
Artem Odintsov, an analyst of Esports Charts, reported that the average number of viewers who watch The International through DotaTV decreased by 80% compared with the previous year. He published the statistics on his social media.
According to Artem, 19,000 people viewed the first day of The International 11 Group Stage via DotaTV. However, on the second day, this number decreased by 40% to 14,000. By comparison, the second day of The International 10 Group Stage gathered 77,000 people. The difference is more than 80%.
The International 11 takes place October 15-30. It features 20 strongest teams from around the world. All of them fight for the impressive prize pool, which currently stands at $16,495,290. Battle Pass sales in Dota 2 continue to increase the prize until the end of the championship.
