Elite League Swiss Stage Results and Group Stage Draws
The final day of the Swiss Stage has ended, with a total of eight teams advancing to the next stage, while the other eight have been eliminated.
On the final day, Blacklist International, Heroic, and Aurora successfully defeated their oppositions to secure the three final slots at the next stage.
Virtus.pro continued to show struggle, losing to Blacklist International in a disappointing 0-2 series. The first game was a total stomp, as Abed’s Pangolier got off to a 12/1/14 KDA to end the map quickly. In the second map, Virtus.pro won the early game, but could not build the lead into anything meaningful, and eventually got outfarmed by the Blacklist lineup. The gold differential proved to be too much, and Virtus.pro had to tap out.
Aurora defeated Team Secret 2-1 with Satanic as a stand-in. All three games were stomps, with Team Secret getting the short end of the stick. Satanic will likely continue playing in the round robin stage until 23savage returns.
In the final series between Talon Esports and Heroic, the stand-in, V-Tune, only died one time in an entire three-map series. Though that may sound impressive, it wasn’t enough for the Southeast Asian squad to win. After trading maps, V-Tune went into the third map on his Morphling. However, his teammates were making mistakes, dying left and right. Despite going 9/0/2, the Ukrainian still lost the game, allowing Heroic to take the series 2-1.
