BB Dacha Day 1: BB Team and Aurora Stand Strong In Debut Day
The first day of BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 has ended, and we got to see numerous lineups display their new rosters for the first time against top-tier competition. The BetBoom Team and Aurora currently lead their respective groups, while teams such as Team Spirit and Team Liquid showed signs of shakiness.
Group A Results
The BetBoom Team is off to an impressive start, ending the first day with a clean 4-0 record. Tundra Esports lie close behind in second, while the two weakest teams in the group seem apparent already.
The hosts of the tournament, the BetBoom Team, played two matches to debut the new roster starring Pure and kiyоtaka. Though they played against arguably inferior competition, all four map wins were done in under 30 minutes.
Tundra Esports had a horrendous start to the tournament, getting demolished on the first map against Yakult's Brothers. However, they turned the ship around and won three in a row to end the day 3-1.
The TI winners are finally back, this time with a new member. However, we didn’t get to see them much as they only played one series on Day 1. After winning the first map against Yakult's Brothers, SabeRLighT played offlane Bounty Hunter and went 0/10, and the series ended in a draw.
Unfortunately, both MOUZ and Talon Esports went winless after the conclusion of Day 1. However, it is worth noting that the latter played against the top two teams of the group, BetBoom Team and Tundra Esports.
Group B Results
Four teams in Group B played two Best of 2 matches today, with the exception of the Gaimin Gladiators and Team Falcons.
Southeast Asian representatives Aurora had a great start to the event, topping the group with a 3-1 record. However, they played against arguably the two weakest teams in the group, Nouns and the L1ga Team.
We finally got to see watson play his first match under the Gaimin Gladiators organization. Though we didn’t see too much, the Gladiators annihilated the L1ga Team in the first game, only taking 24 minutes. The second map was a little bit troublesome, but the Western European squad still got the job done to win the series 2-0.
It is rather difficult to judge Team Spirit’s current form, as they drew both matches to end the day 2-2. The former Yellow Submarine players still managed to take a map off Team Falcons after King went 13/1/6 on Terrorblade.
Nouns and the L1ga Team had the shorter end of the stick, as both teams are stuck with a 1-3 record.
BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 is a million-dollar LAN tournament that will run from October 19 to 26. Two teams will be eliminated by the time the Group Stage ends.
