Analytical portal Sportradar shared a report on suspicious matches played in 2022. According to their data, there were 47 such meetings in Esports.
Sportradar detected suspicious activity in 1 of 384 matches, which equals 0.26% of the total number of matches for the year. Esports ranks 4th among all disciplines. Only Tennis, Basketball and Football are higher.
Analysts say that the highest number of matches with suspicious activity was recorded in CS:GO, about 45% of the total. Dota 2 had only 11 games.
If we compare Dota 2 data in 2021 and 2022, there are 5 fewer suspicious matches. It can be explained by the decline of online tournaments and Valve's return to the professional Dota 2 scene.
